Living rightously in a broken world
The world as we know it keeps repeating the same cycles of the past generations in a possibly much more brutal way. The increasing arms race between the nations, sky-rocketing joblessness with the rise of AI, presence of nepotism and corruption in western and eastern societies in different levels show us how the current generation is facing the challenges their elders simply didn’t. It is usual nowadays to see thousands of job applicants with BSc and MSc on their resume for a simple role. The promise of increasing chance of landing a job by pursuing a career simply proved to be wrong. High demand for white-collar jobs created a constant flow of unending job applicants while the companies gained an utmost “god-like” importance. With the usage of AI increasing day by day starting with well tuned large language models, figuring out complex algorithms and the current interest in AI agents show us the workforce is threatened as well by the constant upcoming automation to replace them.
Figure a) This AI generated representation of us will be replaced in theory.
We are probably approaching to a time where authenticity is going to be lost and the real and strong personalities will be replaced by the constant noise of the intelligent systems. While powerful brands and their constant stream of profit will come to a point of saturation when the companies will be living organisms without a human workforce and our lives hypotethically will be much more hobby based personal development kind of thing. This leads us to another question which we have forgotten to ask a long time ago. What does it mean to be a human ?
